Заслуга введения этого термина в целом признается за Блейлером, расширившим границы академической рациональной и органически ориентированной психологии, введя в них открытые Фрейдом области бессознательного, бессознательные мотивы и феномены.Отчасти по той же причине Фрейд, Гартманн, Рапапорт, Гилл и другие формулировали и разрабатывали метапсихологию ("по ту сторону психологии"), они стремились охватить весь спектр психических феноменов, конфликтов и компромиссных образований — от глубоко бессознательных до полностью осознаваемых, описанных в рациональной, когнитивной и физиологической психологии. Поэтому в обыденном, нетехническом значении глубинная психология иногда отождествляется с тем, что охватывается психоаналитическими теориями.В некоторых случаях термины "глубинная психология" и "динамическая психология" используются как взаимозаменяемые, ретроактивно применяясь по отношению к разработкам тех, кто, осознанно или неосознанно, писал о бессознательных феноменах, обрисовывал их или теоретизировал по их поводу до возникновения психоанализа или вне него.см. метапсихология\Лит.: [281, 287]Словарь психоаналитических терминов и понятий > глубинная психология
